Whoa – where do I start? To be fair, I feel that writing about yourself can be extremely difficult, I could easily tell you all the great things about any of the wonderful people in my life but draw a blank when it comes to me. Maybe it’s a vanity thing – not wanted to blow your own trumpet so to speak; look at me, I’m fabulous!! Or maybe it’s because I can be really hard on myself and never truly acknowledge all the amazing things I achieve. Whatever the reason, I found this section quite hard to compose. I could tell you about all my qualifications and experience but I’d rather tell you about the real me because that’s what really matters
I currently reside in Donaghmede but hail from Coolock. I wasn’t very academic but I knew deep down that I was meant to do something very special. I don’t know where that came from but it was always present. Over the years I moved from job to job and country to country; always excelling but never feeling completely content – I wanted more; something I could really lose myself in.
I returned to Ireland in 2008 in the height of the recession. Things were bleak but there was also a sense of opportunity and possibility; what could I do? The world was my oyster. In my local library they had a book that contained every profession you could imagine. Over the course of a couple of days I went through the whole book and jotted down all the future careers that I could embark on. Accountancy and law were on my list weaved between aromatherapy, massage and reflexology. Where the hell was that coming from? I always had an interest in crystals, aromatherapy oils and chakras but was there a course that could give me the qualifications to practice these skills? Thankfully the answer was yes and the rest as they say is history. I qualified in 2011 and never looked back.
